Maryland's largest insurer, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield announced in March 2018 that is fell prey to an email "phishing" attack.  Phishing attacks convince the recipient to click a link or respond while exposing sensitive information.  In this scenario, 6800 members' names, member ID numbers, and dates of birth may have been exposed.  CareFirst has said that no medical nor financial information was compromised.
