The NATO and EU Cyber agreement
In February 2016, the NATO Computer Incident Response Capability and the Computer Emergency Response Team of the European Union (CERT-EU) signed an agreement to exchange best practices and information. The agreement allows the CERT-EU to access unclassified cyber threat intelligence from the Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) of NATO. MISP has been in operation for several years for the exchange of cyber threats with several partnering nations as well as industry. Some of the cyber intelligence includes a searchable respository of malware technical characteristics, malware samples, and an ability to import and export data with other systems to help improve situational awareness.
According to a September 19, 2017 European Union Commission's State of the Union 2017 Cybersecurity report, at least 80% of EU companies experienced a cybersecurity incident last year.
