Since GE opened its Information Security Techn ology Center in Virginia in 2011 with the intent of mitigating risks to GE assets, GE Oil & Gas’s “Measurement and Control” division is now energy producers software to protect their industrial control systems (some of which predate the Internet.)  The new solutions are GE CAP Software Update and GE SecurityST Appliance. 

The CAP Software Update strengthens system backup continuity as well as manages digital patching and anti-virus detection signature updates.

SecurityST Appliances centralizes event logging, account management, network intrusion detection, and controls backup/update changemanagement.
